What AniShiro is
AniShiro is two things that belong together: a database of over 8,000 anime and manga you can search, browse and keep your own list in — and a daily briefing of what actually happened across the anime world. The catalogue records where a series streams and which language versions exist, wherever we have that on record, and for a finished adaptation it names the chapter to read on from. The briefing tells you what changed today, with the source visible on every item.
The list holds what you follow; the Daily Briefing keeps you current. Around both: curated official trailers, streaming updates, a weekly recap and honest picks.
Why “Shiro”?
白 — shiro — is the Japanese word for white. In Japanese culture it carries the sense of clarity and a fresh start. That is the standard we hold our coverage to: clean, fresh, and easy to trust. The kitsune mask in our logo keeps watch over that promise in both of our worlds — the bright editorial Day theme and the cinematic Night theme.
Where we’re headed
