Sara is one of four daughters of the Balks dukedom. Born with golden hair and eyes which are said to be those of a witch, she's a blemish on the family name. Sara has endured all the mistreatment from her family in hopes of living freely once she becomes of age. However, when one of her sisters is to be wed, she is cast out into the land of the beastfolk, for fear she'll bring a curse upon the family. In a land where no humans are said to be able to survive, the cruel emperor of the beastfolk empire, Cael appears before her. Their eyes meet, and their fates are forever interwined...
