Akane Tsunemori fand anderthalb Jahre nach dem Psycho-Pass statt, nachdem er die wahre Natur des Sibylle-Systems kennengelernt hatte. Er entschied sich, dem System zu gehorchen und glaubte sowohl an die Menschlichkeit als auch an die Rechtsordnung. Sie ist Teil einer neuen Polizeisektion und verbringt ihren Alltag damit, Kriminellen gegenüberzustehen. Unbemerkt von Akane taucht jedoch bald ein Monster vor ihr auf, das das System bis ins Mark erschüttern wird.
