Story
The title story, "Tree for Two," is a story of friendship between a girl who wants to attract attention by uprooting trees from the ground and a girl who watches over her efforts to uproot the trees. The book also includes 21 stories in total, including "Once Upon a Time," which depicts the relationship between Hanai, a girl who embarrasses herself on graduation day, and Matsukawa, a classmate who sneers at her.
