L'intrigue de l'anime est tirée du 41e volume de l'histoire "Figure Wars" du manga original. L'histoire commence lorsque les jouets d'Oban, un personnage d'une émission de télévision de tokusatsu (effets spéciaux), deviennent populaires, mais perdent également rapidement leur popularité. De nombreux jouets Oban invendus sont jetés. Un éclair frappe un de ces jouets un jour, et lui donne vie. Avec d'autres jouets jetés par les gens, Oban jure de se venger des humains et des attaques. Dans le même temps, l'ennemi juré d'Oban, Chūkōnen Kamen, reçoit également la vie.
