Lupin wischt einen Ring von einer New Yorker Auktion, und Zenigata ist ihm auf der Spur... zusammen mit einem waffenschützenden, ehemaligen KGB-Tier namens Nabikov. Nabikovs Chef ist Cynthia, die Frau, die für den BOGEN verantwortlich ist: Bank der Welt. Cynthia weiß, dass der Ring tatsächlich ein Führer zum Ort einer fantastischen Brosche ist, die einst von Eroberern vergangener Jahre getragen wurde. Die Brosche, so heißt es, verlieh ihnen besondere Kräfte, um mehr als nur Männer und Frauen zu werden und ihre Spuren in der Geschichte zu hinterlassen. Können Lupin und seine Kohorten die Brosche finden, bevor Cynthia sie benutzt, um sich mit einem blutigen, internationalen Krieg einen Namen zu machen?
